PIA CEO Arshad Malik calls on PM Imran Khan

Chief executive officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Air Marshal Arshad Malik called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday.

According to the details, the CEO PIA briefed the Prime Minister on the ongoing negotiations with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to ensure PIA’s flight operations to Europe.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, Air Marshal Arshad Malik also briefed PM Imran Khan on the details of restructuring PIA and making it profitable.

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed that the restructuring plan should be prepared in consultation with Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Advisor to PM for Institutional Reforms and Austerity of Pakistan should be prepared and submitted within a week.

The Prime Minister said that our government is paying special attention to the agenda of broad-based reforms to improve the performance of institutions and provide better efficiency and services.
