The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has sacked 49 employees from service on the charges of possessing forge degrees and disciplinary issues during the last month.

As per to a notification issued by the Pakistan International Airline, out of the 49 employees, 25 were dismissed for allegedly possessing forge or tempered degrees, 21 over prolonged absence, 1 for breach of applicable rules, 2 for disclosure of official information on social media and media.

Furthermore, two other employees were demoted over breach of rules and one faced deduction of increments over his absence from the place of duty. All these violations had occurred during the month of June after which the penalties were imposed.

Meanwhile, PIA awarded appreciation letters to its 11 employees in recognition of their dedication and commitment. The airline discipline is the foremost aspect of any organisation as it binds employees and motivates them to follow rules and regulations.

“Discipline is in fact the lifeline of an organisation,” it added. Therefore, it said that is important to appreciate hardworking and dedicated employees and punish those after inquiries were conducted against them

Earlier, PIA had dismissed assistant manager flight services Khalid Mehmood Jadoon from service for possessing a fake degree.

According to a notification, the national flag carrier had terminated Khalid Jadoon from service after finding him guilty of holding a forged BA degree.
