PIA flight attendant disappears after arriving in Toronto

Jan 24, 2022: According to a report by BaaghiTV, a PIA air steward went abroad, consequently disappeared and failed to appear on duty for the return flight home.

Waqar Ahmed Khan Jadoon flew to Toronto on a PIA flight, Waqar Ahmed Khan was a flight steward at PIA, and upon his arrival in Toronto, he went missing. Waqar Jadoon was due to be on duty on flight PK782 from Toronto to Islamabad on January 23.

Waqar disappeared from the hotel and a search has been launched for him. A PIA spokesman informed the authorities that action would be taken against the missing steward.

This is not the first case of a PIA flight attendant going missing, there have been several previous incidents. Last year, a PIA airhostess went missing from Canada. The air hostess did not report on duty for the flight from Toronto to Karachi.

Earlier, another PIA flight attendant had disappeared from a hotel in Toronto. According to PIA officials, Ramzan Gul’s service number is 62739. He left the hotel on some errand but did not return. The local police registered a case.

On the other hand, Canadian authorities have added PIA to the Serious Watch List. In the last three months, five PIA flights have been seized and searched by customs, now another PIA flight attendant is missing. PIA, which is already in trouble, could face further difficulties if the staff member disappearances continue in Toronto.

This is the third time in six months that a flight attendant has gone missing in similar circumstances.

In addition to being placed on a serious watch list by Canadian authorities,  in the past three months five PIA flights have been subjected to customs hold up and searched for narcotics.
