PIA issues statement on Non-payment of salaries
After news broke that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) failed to pay the salaries of employees, a representative issued a statement to deny the claims.
According to the PIA spokesperson, there is no fear that the airline’s operations will be affected by the non-payment of salaries.

PIA faced financial difficulties this month due to the country’s economic situation, made worse by a few necessary payments. However, PIA paid the salaries of Group 1 to 4 staff on time.
The spokesperson stressed that the salaries of the officers and other officials have been delayed for a few days, however, they will be paid in the next few days.

All PIA officers including pilots are engaged in fulfilling their duties with full zeal and responsibility and PIA operation is fully functional. “The attempt by some elements to publish the news about influencing the operation is baseless and misleading”: Spokesperson PIA.
