Pakistan suspends air operations till April 30

Karachi, 5th April: The increasing number of coronavirus patients in the country has taken its toll on the pilots of Pakistan’s renowned airline.

According to sources, 4 pilots of the Pakistan International Airlines are alleged to have been infected with COVID-19. The pilots were immediately admitted to the Karachi Airport Hotel. The Pilot Association has decided to stop its members from operating the flights.

It may be noted that the number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan is increasing day by day. Four new deaths have been reported and the number of affected patients has increased up to 2,883 in the country.

According to the government website, 839 people in Sindh, 1072 in Punjab, 343 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 193 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 175 in Balochistan, 75 in Islamabad, 11 people in Azad Kashmir are infected with the coronavirus while 131 people have also recovered from the disease.
