PIA Plane Crash: Preliminary report’s major revelations

Karachi, 22nd May: According to reports, a preliminary investigation report has been prepared on the crash of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane in Karachi.

According to sources, a preliminary report of the plane crash was given to the aviation authorities in which it was revealed that the plane also collided with birds after the landing gear got jammed.

According to the report, when the landing gear malfunctioned, the pilot brought the plane down for landing. During this time, some birds collided with the unfortunate plane. Meanwhile, both the engines of the plane were partially shut down.

Sources said that according to the report, due to low power from the engines, the altitude of the aircraft became very low, and soon the aircraft could not maintain its altitude. On this occasion, the pilot also called for ‘May Day’.

According to the report, the plane collided with houses in a populated area before reaching the runway. He was gliding when the plane hit the upper floor of the house.

It may be recalled that the national airline flight PK 8303 crashed while landing and the plane crashed at 2:37 a.m. while 98 people including 7 crew members were on board.

Several people are feared dead and injured as a result of the accident.
