PIA plane escapes near-fatal accident at the Karachi Airport

Lahore, 17th March: A PIA plane narrowly escaped an accident after it took off from the Karachi Airport.

Baaghi TV: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane narrowly escaped an accident after the aircraft got hit by a bird after taking off from Karachi airport on Wednesday.

According to reports, the PIA flight PK-368 going from Karachi to Islamabad was hit by a bird, however, the pilot managed to land safely at the Karachi airport and no human injury was reported.

The PIA spokesperson informed that one engine of the plane which had 162 passengers on board was damaged due to the bird strike just after the plane took off.
As per reports, the passengers were shifted to the airport’s lounge and soon an alternative flight will be arranged for their departure to Islamabad.

It is pertinent to mention here that the bird strike incidents are repeatedly being reported at the country’s airports due to the lack of cleanliness in the adjacent populated areas. Such incidents pose severe dangers to the aircraft and passengers.
