PIA restores alternative flight operations to Paris

Islamabad, 15 August 2020: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has restored flights to Paris by alternative means after the airline announced restoration of Independence Day flights from the UK and Europe started.

The first PIA flight left Paris for Islamabad with 260 passengers, the flight departed Paris at 2 pm, local time.

Minister of Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that every possible step is being taken to revive PIA air operations for Europe.

The Ministry of Aviation and the Civil Aviation Authority are playing a vital role in the restoration of PIA flights. The concerns of the International Safety Agency should be removed as soon as possible said Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

The flight carried 18 passengers in Executive Economy while 242 passengers traveled in Economy Class. PIA is taking steps to provide honourable passengers direct travel to Pakistan through alternative means, 2.4 tons of cargo was also delivered to Pakistan by the flight.

At Paris Airport, the PIA Country Manager and Station Manager bade farewell to the passengers.
