PIA receives UAE's clarification regarding ICA approval

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a change in the working hours of its employees as the coronavirus pandemic settles down in the country.

According to details, the PIA administration had suspended the bio-metric system installed for employee attendance which has now been activated. The bio-metric system has been operational since August 1, after which employees will have to make their attendance mandatory for coming and going to the office.

According to the notification issued by PIA, the working hours of its employees have also been changed on the government’s order. The employees will perform their duties from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30 pm.

On regular days, there will be an interval of 60-90 minutes for prayers and lunch, while on Friday there will be prayer and lunch break from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

It may be recalled that the PIA had reduced the number of employees in the offices due to coronavirus and directed them to work from home, after which the bio-metric system was suspended from March 13.
