Pakistan’s International Airlines (PIA) has made a big announcement regarding its flight operations for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as PIA is going to resume flight operations to Ras Al Khaimah after a long hiatus of 18 years.
According to the details, a ceremony was also held at Ras Al Khaimah Airport in this regard. Moreover, reports claim that the resumption of PIA flight operations for Ras Al Khaimah will greatly facilitate passengers traveling to the UAE. It is to be noted that Ras Al Khaimah is one of the most important regions of the United Arab Emirates.

Before PIA, Pakistan’s private airline Air Blue has also announced the launch of flight operations for Ras Al Khaimah. They announced the start of flights nearly a week ago. This incident marks the first flight of Air Blue to Ras Al Khaimah.
It should be noted that during the coronavirus pandemic, the aviation industry in the world, including Pakistan, suffered severe losses. As a result to which the national flag carrier is constantly striving to reduce these losses. The national airline has launched flights on several local routes over the past year.

With regard to improving the condition of PIA, it has been informed that the national flag carrier is facing challenges but in order to improve the economic condition of the airline, the number of flights to various foreign sectors should be started and increased.
In addition, Pakistan International Airlines is developing a business plan consisting of global experts, which will make it a worldwide success. Innovation and technology will be used in the restructuring.
It was further stated that despite the coronavirus crisis, the deficit of the national airline has come down drastically by Rs 18 billion in one year, while the deficit of PIA has come down from Rs 52.6 billion to Rs 34.64 billion.
