PIA takes major action against its 54 employees
Lahore, 2nd October: PIA has taken major action against 54 employees.
According to reports, reforms and accountability are underway in the national airline. Last month, PIA took action against 54 employees.
According to the details, PIA has taken action against 54 employees in September. The Human Resources Department has also released a list of actions against the employees.
Reportedly, PIA fired 7 employees with fake academic credentials and 8 absent employees were also sacked.
PIA fired two employees for damaging the company’s assets, one employee was fired for illegally disclosing government information, and six employees involved in corruption and embezzlement were fired.
Two employees involved in drug trafficking and smuggling were sacked, two were fired for stealing government documents, two were fired for damaging records, and one was fired for refusing to work.
Increment of 5 employees was reduced as punishment for violation of SOPs, 9 employees were demoted for non-compliance with orders, 10 employees were found not guilty after due process, while 13 Certificates of appreciation and cash awards were given to 7 employees.
