PIA to give compensation to Karachi plane crash victims

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will start the process of payment of compensation to the victims of plane crash in the Karachi plane crash incident and the families of the deceased from tomorrow.

According to the details, the national flag carrier will start the the first phase from October 22, 2020 (today) in which Rs. 10 million will be given to 5 victims. According to PIA sources, compensation will be paid to the victims of Airbus A320 crash in Model Colony, Karachi from tomorrow.

The two surviving passengers, Muhammad Zubair and Zafar Masood, will be given Rs 10 million each. PIA has also paid for the treatment of passenger Muhammad Zubair. The families of the three deceased passengers will also be paid Rs 10 million each.

The 22 families affected by the plane crash will also receive compensation of Rs. 22.8 million. This compensation is being paid in case of burning or loss of 14 vehicles and household items.

PIA has also given six months rent to 22 affected families on the land while the families of all 97 passengers have already been paid Rs 1 million each. One woman who died on the ground was paid Rs 1 million and three injured were paid Rs 5 million each.

The payment of compensation has been initiated after the settlement between the Pakistan International Airlines and the insurance company.

It is to be remembered that on May 22, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-8303 to Karachi crashed into a crowd near Jinnah International Airport, killing 97 people while two were miraculously safe.
