PIA to start flight operations to United Kingdom

In view of the changing situation in Afghanistan, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has further expanded its flight operations to/from Kabul.

According to the details, PIA will operate 3 special flights to Afghanistan on Monday, August 16, 2021. Furthermore, the national flag carrier has also offered help to embassies, multinational companies and news agencies of all countries to take people out of Afghanistan.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 777, the largest aircraft in PIA’s fleet. A total of about 900 Pakistanis and other foreigners will be evacuated from Kabul through these three special flights.

The PIA also sought permission for more special flights through the Pakistani Foreign Ministry. The PIA administration is in touch with embassies of many countries, international companies and news agencies to help them.

PIA staff in Kabul are active and carrying out their work with bravery and national spirit, says the PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan.

Local PIA staff is working in full coordination with the Pakistani embassy and all Pakistani citizens are requested to contact the staff of the Pakistani Embassy or PIA in Kabul immediately to board the flights, PIA spokesperson added.
