PIA to resume flights between two cities after two years

Lahore, 3rd March: Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) flight operations between Islamabad and Lahore have been resumed.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, PIA has resumed its flight operations between Islamabad and Lahore with the first flight set to board on March 8 to depart from Lahore.

According to reports, the national flag carrier has resumed its domestic flights between the two cities which had been suspended almost two years back.

Since the suspension, the first PIA flight from Lahore will be PK-650 which will mark its departure from next week at 08:30 am.

As per reports from ARY News, PIA said the frequency for these flights will be 3 operations a week one-way and the initial fares announced will be Rs 6,848.

Earlier this week, PIA announced discounted fares for domestic flights to promote tourism in the country. The national carrier has announced a rebate in fares for flights to Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.

According to reports, the passengers carrying 20-kilogram luggage have been offered the reduced price of Rs 7,500 for one side, whereas, Rs 8,500 will be charged for travelling with 40-kg luggage.

PIA spokesperson has said that the new fares will come into effect immediately.
