Lahore, 15th March: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume direct flights to Turkey.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Pakistan’s national carrier has decided to resume flights to Turkey.

As per reports, the national airline will operate flights to Turkey’s Istanbul city from Lahore and Islamabad thrice a week from mid-May.

According to earlier reports, PIA had stopped operating flights on this route many years back.

The decision to resume flights from Pakistan to Turkey will help bring revenue for the loss-making national entity that is striving to cut operational cost.
It is to be noted that last week Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan had met Turkey’s Ambassador in Islamabad Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul and discussed the matters to promote bilateral ties in different fields including aviation.
