PIA’s ATR Skids off Runway in Gilgit
Lahore (20th July, 2019): Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) ATR, flight PK-605, skids off the runway in Gilgit, due to poor performance of aircraft.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, earlier today at 8 A.M. PST, PIA’s flight PK-605 which was landing at the Gilgit Airport encountered an accident due to poor aircraft maintenance. Reports confirm that the plane over shot the runway as it was approaching.

So far, no casualties have been reported. No damage to the runway has been confirmed. However, the plane has been damaged. As per initial conversation with the ATC, the altitude of the plane was more than the prescribed at the time of landing, due to which the aircraft touched down further than its designated location.
