Karachi, 8th June: The maker of the Airbus A320 has said that AIT (Accident Information Transmission) on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK8303, which crashed in Karachi on May 22, has been transferred to the French Bureau of Civil Aviation Safety.

The Inquiry and Analysis (BEA) and the Pakistan Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) have approved the release.

According to the Dawn newspaper, Airbus said in a tweet that Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) at BEA facilities in Paris by EASA were reviewed. He said that both the recorders FDR and CVR provided important information for investigation.

He added that based on an initial analysis of available data (location information, ATC records, FDR and CVR), Airbus did not have any security recommendations at this stage of the investigation.

It should be noted that immediately after the crash of the PIA plane in Karachi, the federal government had formed a team headed by Air Commodore Muhammad Usman Ghani to investigate the incident. Airbus sent an 11-member team to Pakistan to provide technical assistance to Pakistani investigators.

The French team and Air Commodore Usman Ghani left for France with FDR and CVR to analyze it, which he said would provide important information to investigators.
