KARACHI: The categories of Pakistani players for the ninth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been announced.
According to the new classification of players, Iman Wasim, who led the Karachi Kings in the previous edition of the HBL PSL will retain his platinum category.

All-rounder Shoaib Malik and fast bowler Mohammad Amir have been included in the Diamond category of players.
For the 9th edition, Tayyab Tahir a top-order batsman has been promoted from the Silver category to the Gold category. Also, in the gold category will be young all-rounder Qasim Akram – promoted from the Emerging category, Muhammad Musa, Aamir Yameen, Sharjeel Khan, Haider Ali, and Mir Hamza.

The Silver category will include Akif Jave, Mohammad Umar, and Mohammad Akhlaq. Additionally, Irfan Khan Niazi and Faisal Akram have been included in the Emerging category list.
The PSL Draft 2023 is expected to take place in mid-December.
