
Jan 10, 2022: Prime Minister Imran Khan was awarded the “International Sports Personality Award” at the 11th edition of the Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Awards held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Sunday.
According to a report by the Khaleej Times, the award was presented by the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Matar Al Tayyar Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Dubai Exhibition Center.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan was declared the winner in November 2021 for dedicating his life to sports.
During his illustrious 21-year cricket career, Imran Khan made numerous contributions to Pakistan cricket, including the Green Shirts winning the 1992 World Cup title. Since making his debut in 1971, he has set a number of records, and has become one of the greatest players to ever enter the global cricketing stage.
In his illustrious career, Imran represented Pakistan in 88 Test matches, scoring 3807 runs with the help of six centuries and taking 362 wickets at an average of 22.81. In ODIs, he represented his country in 175 matches and took 182 scalps at an average of 26.61, with 3,709 under his belt.
