Islamabad (14th June, 2019): PM Imran Khan to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan is visiting Kyrgyzstan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is a political, economic, and security alliance established in the year 2001.
Russian Head of State Vladimir Putin, newly re-elected Indian PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jin Ping are also among those who are currently in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek to attend this summit. The summit according to sources, is scheduled to start on Friday, 14th of June, 2019.
The global leaders gathered for a group photograph before the session started, claim sources.
According to news coverage for the event, Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan was seen exchanging smiles and brief introductions with the Russian President Putin, as they posed for the cameras. This is a significant step as Islamabad and Moscow have taken steps to strengthen bilateral relations between the two states. For this they have also enhanced military cooperation as well as business ties between the two countries, claim sources.
