PM Imran Khan meets COAS, DG ISI in Islamabad

The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Imran Khan held a meeting with his Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Director General (DG) of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Directorate, Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum.

According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan was received by COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General ISI Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum.

Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was also present in the meeting while important federal ministers were also present, sources reveal. PM Imran Khan has chaired a meeting to review security situation in the country, on Monday.

The meeting was attended by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, National Sec Advisor Moeed Yousaf and Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar.

The meeting expressed serious concern over the cruel act of killing of Sri Lankan national Priyantha Diyawadanage in Sialkot and expressed the resolve to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The participants of the meeting were of the view that individuals and mobs cannot be allowed to take the law into their hands and such incidents cannot be tolerated, and proposed strategy to curb such incidents.

The meeting also praised the bravery and courage of Malik Adnan who endangered his own life to save Priyantha Diyawadanage. Furthermore, it has been learnt that national security and the current situation in Afghanistan was discussed in the meeting while Pak-Afghan border issues were also discussed.
