ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, discussed the issues arising because of Corona virus.
The Prime Minister said that more than 50 million people in the world have been affected by COVID-19 and the entire world economy has been badly affected by Corona. As the SCO’s influence grows, Pakistan appreciates China’s efforts against the corona virus. Pakistan further appreciates aid from China, in the Corona crisis.
Addressing the SCO summit, he said joint efforts are needed to deal with Corona. Pakistan and China are also working on trials of the corona vaccine. Complete lockdown is detrimental to developing and developed countries, global financial institutions and G20 should help poor countries in the Corona crisis.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the global economy is slowing down due to the corona virus. The SCO has made great strides in two decades. The solution to the Afghanistan problem is possible only through dialogue.
Addressing the SCO summit, he said that Afghanistan must reap the full benefits of the reconciliation process. The dignified return of Afghan refugees should be an important part of the intra-Afghan dialogue.
Imran Khan said that he appreciates the digital global data security initiative by China. It is not right to associate any country or religion with terrorism, the United Nations will have to make serious efforts to solve global problems. The world desperately needs interfaith harmony.
