PM Khan writes to Facebook CEO demanding ban on Islamophobic content
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has written a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg demanding immediate banning of content against Islamophobia.
According to the details, PM Imran Khan called on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to ban anti-Islamic content like Facebook Holocaust. Imran Khan also pointed out anti-Islamophobic content on Facebook.
PM Khan said that anti-Islamophobic material was being spread on social media including Facebook. Such material is encouraging hatred, extremism, violence.

Furthermore, the Pakistani PM said that he appreciates the ban imposed by Facebook on criticism of the Holocaust. Today I see a similar case against Muslims in different parts of the world.

“Unfortunately, Muslims are being prevented from making personal choices, from dress to worship,” he said. We are seeing the same situation against Muslims in different countries of the world. Unfortunately, in some countries, Muslims do not have citizenship rights.
The Prime Minister said that laws were enacted against Muslims in India, killing Muslims and holding them responsible for coronavirus was the effect of Islamophobia. In France, Islam was linked to terrorism, and blasphemous images were allowed in France.

Earlier, the PM had said in a tweet that the French president’s statement had hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims. The French president deliberately attacked Islam and supported Islamophobia.
He said that statements based on ignorance further promote extremism, the world can no longer tolerate division, the identity of the leader is that he unites people, as Nelson Mandela united the people instead of dividing them.
PM Imran Khan wrote in his tweet that polarization causes radicalism, the statement of the French President hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims.
