PMD Launches Mobile App for weather forecast

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) launched a YouTube channel on Monday to keep public informed of the weather forecast.

As per the details, Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan inaugurated and introduced the channel as well as the mobile application.

The minister for aviation announced the application and called it to be useful as public will stay aware of any weather change coming ahead. They can also predict the storm or related natural disaster.

A new website of PMD has also been launched by the minister alongside the Media Studio Department (MSD) and Information Technology Center (ITC).

You can now go on http://www.pmd.gov.pk/ and check for the update.

This step may be taken with the complaints and comments of public after storm and flood especially during farming, as people demanded a latest weather forecast system so that they can arrange something before a natural disaster like flood and heavy storm.
