PML-N workers were present outside the Lahore High Court on the occasion. PML-N Additional General Secretary Ataullah Tarar reached the Lahore High Court to express solidarity with Mian Shehbaz Sharif.

Member National Assembly Rana Sanaullah was also present in the Lahore High Court.

It is to be noted that Shehbaz Sharif filed an apology for medical attendance on medical grounds yesterday. Tests are yet to be held. Shehbaz Sharif should be exempted from attendance tomorrow.

It should be noted that the Lahore High Court has restrained the NAB from arresting Shehbaz Sharif. Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif had appeared in the High Court, and the NAB was there to arrest him, but the High Court stopped them. The Lahore High Court had granted interim bail to Shehbaz Sharif

Shehbaz Sharif had filed an application for interim bail in the Lahore High Court to avoid further arrest in the case of assets in excess of income and money laundering. Taking the NAB chairman and others as parties, the petition took a stand that there is a danger of being arrested by the NAB in the pending inquiry. I have been declaring all the assets regularly, claimed Sharif. The NAB has made a case of assets in excess of income on the basis of malice.

The petition states that he started his business as a businessman in 1972 and played an important role in the agriculture, sugar and textile industries. He entered politics in 1988 for the betterment of the society. Due to the political influence of the present government, the NAB launched an inquiry in which the allegations leveled by the NAB are of a general nature. He was arrested in the same case in 2018. He also cooperated fully with the NAB.

Shehbaz Sharif, while questioning the NAB in the petition, said that during the arrest in 2018, the NAB did not present a single piece of evidence of abuse of power. NAB cannot exercise its power in a case in which there is no evidence. Allegations of money laundering are also baseless.
