Police contacted the female harassed cyclist
Islamabad, 11th September: Islamabad Police have contacted Samar Khan, a female cyclist who was harassed in Islamabad, and reported the details of the incident.
A spokesman for the Islamabad Police said that the investigation was underway with the help of CCTV cameras and the harasser would be brought to justice soon.
It may be recalled that Samar Khan, a female cyclist from Pakistan, had posted a video on social media about the harassment.
Female cyclist harassed on the streets of Islamabad
Cyclist Samar Khan described the incident on social media, saying, “I was cycling on the streets of Islamabad when a man assaulted me.”
“A man in a maroon shirt touched me inappropriately. I always promoted cycling, I promote women’s sports. I tried to chase the man on a bicycle but he escaped,” said Samar Khan.
