Police decides to ban PubG after suicide incidents

Wednesday, June 24th: According to Lahore police, two youths have committed suicide in the city in four days after being banned from playing the video game ‘PubG’, after which the police have decided to ban all such violent games and online pages. PTA will be requested to block.

According to reports, a 16-year-old resident of Multan Road, Lahore, decided to commit suicide when his parents forbade him from playing online games and he committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan.

According to the police, even after committing suicide, ‘PubG’ game was playing on his mobile. Two days before the incident, another 20-year-old man from the city had committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan due to the same game.

Speaking to the BBC, DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan said that the rise in suicide among the youth due to games promoting violence is a sad and worrying process. He said that these games are like a drug which is addictive so parents and children should not play such games too much.
