KARACHI, September 10 (Online Int’l): A youngster along with his friends coming back from a hotel after having dinner was shot injured and declared terrorist by the Sohrab Goth police at Super Highway Karachi.
According to Sohrab Goth police, last night motorcyclists who did not stop at the police signal were chased so they allegedly opened fire and in retaliatory firing one person got injured. After that Humayun and Shoaib were arrested.
According to SHO Sohrab Goth, Humayun has been slightly injured by the shot and the police claimed that the suspect threw his weapon while escaping. A motorcycle without license plate has been recovered from the suspect’s occupancy and after the incident 23 years old injured Humayun Murtaza along with friends reached the police station.
According to the youngsters, they were coming back from a hotel and even showed the bill to the police. They said that they bought some betel nuts from a cabin, so police on recovering such things annoys and asks for bribe. Therefore their friend didn’t stop and furthermore, they said that Humayun just a bought a motorcycle that’s why there is no license plate on it.
The youngsters while claiming this incident as “police gardi” said that the police need to cover their negligence and carelessness, but to show their performance are presenting the incident as a police encounter and have filed the case.
