Polish Prime Minister: The virus is like any other disease

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that the Polish people should not be afraid to vote in the second round of the country’s presidential election this month because Covid-19 has become a disease like any other.

The first round of voting was completed last Sunday and the next round is scheduled for July 12.

“It’s a disease we can say is just like any other disease, we’re just waiting for the vaccine,” Morawiecki quoted as saying by the state news agency PAP.

He added: “Institutions that have seen the first round have confirmed that it was well organized. We should not be afraid to participate in the second round.

Poland has not been as affected by the corona virus as other European countries, and only about 1,500 deaths have been reported in a population of 38 million.
