Popular Hollywood movie sequels scheduled for release this year
The global pandemic Corona virus, which spread from China’s Wuhan region in December 2019, wreaked havoc across the world shutting down many industries including the entertainment industry. Film releases were postponed and shootings cancelled, however, due to the decline in worldwide COVID-19 statistics, many movies had resumed shooting.
According to reports, with the new wave of COVID-19, many countries have gone into lockdown however, work is underway for sequels of popular public favorites. The release date of some of these films have been set.

Originally scheduled for release in May 2020, it was postponed till April, 2021. As per latest reports, the release has been rescheduled for 28th May, 2021.
This time around, in addition to Vin Diesel and Charlize Theron, the film will star Helen Mirren, Michelle Rodriguez. Car enthusiasts and fans of thrillers are looking forward to the latest installment in the franchise. Moreover, Vin Diesels 10 year old son, Vincent Sinclair is set to make his film-debut.

This is the first sequel of the Sony Marvel Universe and will reportedly be released on June 25th, 2021. The director of the film is Andy Serkis and nothing is as yet known about the plot. However, the new cast will feature Tom Hardy as Eddie Brooke, Venom, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying and others.
