Lahore, 29th March: With the surging number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan, and the rise in the toll in Punjab province which has reached 570 confirmed cases, there is a serious concern of giving proper treatment to the patients.
If the number goes on increasing like this then there will be a shortage of medical facilities and hospital beds for the patients. It has been suggested by the Pakistani politician and the member of the National Assembly, Moonis Elahi to the Punjab CM to tackle this situation in a sensible manner.
According to his tweet on his Twitter account, Moonis Elahi has given a solution to the treatment of the increasing number of coronavirus patients in Punjab, which has crossed the number in Sindh province.
Government of Punjab should allow positive #COVID2019 patients to self isolate in their homes and only shift them to hospitals when they develop serious symptoms. Many are avoiding tests due to fear of being dragged off. We don’t have enough hospital beds. @UsmanAKBuzdar

His tweet has been addressed to the CM Punjab, Usman Buzdar, suggesting that the Punjab Government should keep only those positive coronavirus patients at the hospitals who show severe symptoms of the disease.
Those who test positive and are stable should be advised to stay at home and self-isolate because the hospitals are now getting filled up with the patients and there will not be enough beds to fit all.

Secondly, many people are not getting tested for the coronavirus as they are afraid of getting dragged to the hospitals and being quarantined there.
This is a very practical solution to the crisis Punjab is facing right now and should be advised to the public soon to stay home.
