PPP has always worked for the welfare of journalists: Sharjeel Memon

PPP believes in freedom of expression and independent journalism and has always served the people by accepting criticism for reform. These views were expressed by former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon while addressing a function at Hyderabad Press Club today as the chief guest.
He said that PPP believes in free press and has always served the people by accepting criticism for reform.
He said that issuance of health cards to journalists by the Sindh government was not a favor to anyone but it was the duty of the Sindh government. Criticizing the federal government, he said that this government is worse than the dictatorial government but you should believe that the days of oppression are few and oppression will end soon. He said that under the present federal government all the institutions have been declining and this has also affected the media while we will continue our efforts to play our full role for the revival of media industry.
