DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal Khan said that the case of a woman being raped by pretending to be called for a job in Garhi Shahu turned out to be false. The accused Fatima, accompanied by Razaq, forcibly kidnapped a 1.5-year-old girl and filed a false case of rape to blackmail people.
Irfan, Nadeem, and Irfan Pervez, the three accused who raped 2 girls in Gujjarpura, have been arrested. The accused raped the girls in a factory near Karol Ghati. The accused will be tested medically and a DNA test will be done to put the case together.
Asghar, the accused who raped a 12-year-old girl in Defence A, was also arrested. He is the former husband of a woman who raped his daughter.
The case of the rape of a woman in Round City also turned out to be false. The plaintiff had filed a false case of forcible rape against 02 unidentified boys, and in the light of the victim’s statement, the case was found to be false and baseless.
Another case of the rape of a woman was registered and the accused case is on interim bail. The plaintiff has not yet named the unidentified accused. There have even been cases where the accused refused to give their real name and identity to the plaintiffs.
DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal Khan said that the accused involved in rape cases do not deserve any concession, and protecting women’s lives and property is the top priority of the police.
The number of sexual offense cases in Lahore is consistently increasing. More than 10 sexual assault cases have been reported in Lahore in the last week, making it increasingly difficult for women to leave their homes.
