Prime Minister Khan thanks Turkish President for raising the Kashmir issue

According to a report in Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he is grateful to the Turkish President for revisiting the Kashmir issue in the UN General Assembly.

Tweeting on social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan shared a video of the Turkish President’s speech, thanking him and saying that Turkey’s unwavering support is a source of strength for Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that the Turkish President in his address to the General Assembly once again raised his voice for the rights of Kashmiris.

It may be recalled that the Turkish President had also addressed the Kashmir issue in his address to the General Assembly yesterday and said that the Kashmir issue is key to peace and stability in South Asia but this issue has not been resolved till date. He said that if Kashmir issue is not resolved then the existence of institutions has no status.

The Turkish President said that the steps taken to end the special status of Occupied Kashmir have complicated the issue and we are in favor of resolving this issue through dialogue.
