Prince Harry arrives in London ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral

Lahore, 12th April: Queen Elizabeth’s grandson Prince Harry has arrived in Britain for Prince Philip’s funeral.

Prince Harry whose explosive interview with the American anchor Opera Winfrey stirred the biggest controversy for the royal family, reached Britain for his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

Harry, who abandoned the royal family to live with his wife Meghan Markle in the United States, arrived in London on Sunday from Los Angeles via British Airways.

Buckingham Palace had confirmed that Meghan Markle will not attend the funeral as she is pregnant with Harry’s second child.

As per reports, Harry, who is sixth in line to the throne, will have to self-isolate first according to the coronavirus guidelines so that he can attend the funeral ceremony at Windsor Castle on April 17.

The funeral will take place in accordance with the Duke’s wishes in an intimate ceremony with 30 attendees in total.

It is to be noted that Prince Philip, the husband of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II died at Windsor Castle on Friday, April 9. Both were married for 69 years, the longest period in the monarch.
