According to the lawyer for CDA, the Park View Society has built an illegal road from Kuri Road to its society.” The society’s lawyer replied, “Two years on from the construction of the road and, the CDA has still not given us any notice against building of the road.”
The private landowners’ stance was that the Park View society owners illegally occupied their land, they also attacked them and killed a man as a result. Justice Athar Minallah said, “Park View is accused of political interference, policing and occupation of private lands.” He told the private landlords to file a separate case and engage a lawyer, the court would listen to their case later.
Justice Muneeb Akhtar said, “The map submitted to the court is incomprehensible.” The court rejected Park View’s request to reinstate the NOC and has summoned the Additional Attorney General to assist the court in this case of public interest at the next hearing. The court also sought zoning rules of Islamabad from CDA.
Further hearing of the case was adjourned indefinitely.
