According to reports received by Baaghi TV, the Indian government has shut down hundreds of Twitter accounts in the past one week. Now the Modi government has given a list of 1200 Twitter accounts to Twitter and asked them to be shut down. The majority of the 1200 Twitter accounts are Pakistani accounts and Twitter has issued warnings after India issued a notice to Twitter.

Sources in the Indian Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology told Indian media that all these accounts belong to Khalistan and Pakistan or Pakistan-backed people, from these accounts material was being shared regarding the Kisan Tehreek and which were being blocked by Modi government.

According to the information received by Baaghi TV, the Modi government had also given a notice to Twitter on February 4, on which Twitter did not take action, after which the notice has been given to Twitter again. Some of the 257 supporting accounts have also been blocked, which the Modi government has also reported on Twitter.

India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology says that if the company does not follow the instructions of the Indian government to remove the accounts and tweets as per the notice, or the government is free to make its own decision and the company will suffer huge losses. A notice sent to Twitter by the Modi government said that if the company does not comply, then the court will be approached.

It should be noted that in the past, the accounts of Pakistani users have been blocked by Twitter, especially for writing something in favor of Kashmir on Twitter, not only the accounts of Pakistani government officials but also the accounts of ordinary citizens have been closed.

The Twitter administration had also sent a notice to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi for tweeting in favor of Kashmiris. Earlier, a notice was also sent to Federal Minister Murad Saeed. The Twitter administration closed Rehman Malik’s account for tweeting on Kashmir.

Leading Pakistani lawyer Azhar Siddique has challenged the suspension of Article 370 in the Indian Supreme Court, after which Twitter closed Azhar Siddique Advocate’s Twitter account. Former DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor has also expressed concern over the closure of Pakistani Twitter accounts. Former Chairman Kashmir Committee Fakhr Imam was also deleted by Post Twitter regarding Kashmir.

If the government of Pakistan asks Twitter to close someone’s account, then the Twitter administration does not agree. The Standing Committee on IT revealed that Twitter did not close Aitzaz Ahsan’s fake account despite repeated requests. On which the committee had requested a copy of the agreement between FIA Cyber ​​Crimes and Twitter, Rehman Malik said that Twitter is not cooperating with Pakistan. The members of the committee said that Aitazaz Ahsan’s fake Twitter account has not been blocked till date. Rubina Khalid said that all the accounts are being operated outside Pakistan.
