Protests continue in IIOJK against blasphemous remarks

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, more protests were held against sacrilegious remarks by BJP leader, Satpal Sharma in Reasi district of Jammu region.

The BJP leader used derogatory and offensive language against the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his blasphemous remarks were uploaded on social media by BJP zealots.

The residents of Chanapora area of Srinagar staged a protest against the derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The protesters took out a peaceful protest rally and demanded strict action against the culprits involved in hurting the sentiments of Muslims. They also raised slogans in favour of Islam.

Meanwhile, the residents and trade unions of Karnah town of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district also held a peaceful protest march against the blasphemous remarks.

Hundreds of locals and representatives of trade unions and civil society assembled in Tanghdar in Kupwara district and started a march towards SDM Office to register their anger and resentment. On the occasion, the protesters raised slogans against the culprits who used blasphemous remarks against Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Terming the profane remarks a deliberate attempt to vitiate the communal harmony in the occupied territory, the protesters demanded exemplary punishment to the accused.

The Chairman of Civil Society, Karnah, Haji Peerzada Sirajddin while talking to media condemned the remarks and said no Muslim can tolerate abusive and derogatory remarks against their beloved Prophet (pbuh). He exhorted upon authorities to book the involved under relevant clauses of law and give exemplary punishment to them.
