On the other hand, Shahid Afridi said, the “PCB had very strict rules. I myself am in the biosecurity bubble. The gym was also hardly allowed. PSL has become a big brand, cricket will suffer a big loss. Rescheduling 20, 22 matches will not be easy. There are even bigger events this year”.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the postponement of the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in view of the rising cases of corona virus.
The difficult decision was made in an emergency meeting between the PSL management and the team owners due to the growing number of cases of COVID-19. The situation after the escalation of Corona cases was discussed in the virtual meeting.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive, Waseem Khan and Director Commercial Babar Hamid will give more details at a press conference held at National Stadium Karachi at 3 pm. Video camera persons will not be allowed to attend the press conference due to limited space in the press conference room. However, the PCB will live-stream the press conference on its YouTube channel.
