Islamabad: According to reports the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has lifted the ban on the online game PUBG.

According to Baaghi TV, Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has announced that the management of PUBG has while accepting the complaints levelled by the PTA, promised to abide by its instructions.

According to sources the PTA in its tweet has said that not only has PUBG accepted its mistakes, it has also promised that it will not allow unsuitable and unconstitutional acts through the use of the game. PTA has conditionally lifted the ban on the game on the assurance that the makers will not allow its misuse.

It should be remembered that last week the Islamabad High Court while ordering the lifting the ban on PUBG, had said it should be immediately restored. Justice Amir Farooq of the IHC had announced its reserved judgment on the petition by the makers of the game. The lawyers of the PUBG company and of the PTA appeared in court.

It should be noted here that the PTA had put the ban in place due to the increasing number of suicides attributed to the game.
