PTI offers a key position to JUI in the Senate

Lahore, 9th March: The ruling government PTI has offered to give an important post to JUI.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the PTI government has contacted Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s party after the defeat in the Senate election.

The government has offered the important seat of Deputy Chairman Senate to the JUI-F party.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani and Pervez Khattak have met Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri. After the meeting, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak said that we have offered Abdul Ghafoor Haideri to become our Deputy Chairman Senate.

Maulana Haideri was asked if he was nominated for the post of Deputy Chairman, to which Maulana said that Sadiq Sanjarani is our Chairman. He said that he can’t say who will be the chairman of the senate after March 12,

Earlier in the day, a meeting of the PDM special committee was held in Islamabad, where it was decided that the opposition leader in the Senate will be from PML-N. The Deputy Chairman of the Senate will be from JUI-F.

However, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will make a final announcement.

Yesterday, in the PDM meeting, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani was unanimously nominated as the chairman of the Senate. PPP chairman Bilawal Zardari had nominated former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.

According to reports, the newly elected members of the Senate will be sworn in on March 12.
