PTV’s pioneer actress passes away
Lahore, 27th June: Pakistan’s pioneer actress Khurshid Shahid passes away at 95.
Baaghi TV: Former famous actress Begum Khurshid Shahid passed away on Sunday at the age of 95.
Her son and actor Salman Shahid reported that she was ill for quite a long time.
Funeral prayers of Begum Khurshid Shahid will be offered at 4 pm today in E Block, Defense Phase 2, Lahore. Begum Khurshid will be buried at the Phase 7 graveyard.
Begum Khurshid Shahid’s popular dramas include ‘Zair Zabar Pesh, Uncle Urfi, Kiran Kahani, Parchayen and Dhund.
Begum Khurshid Shahid started her career at the age of 9 and is one of the earliest artists of PTV.
Begum Khurshid Shahid was also an official of the All Pakistan Women’s Association and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Excellence in 1984.
