Public Sale of Artificial Eggs in Quetta, Revealed

The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has sealed off seven egg shops in Quetta following the revelation of a sale of artificial eggs.

Complaints of artificial eggs in the name of chicken eggs are common in Quetta. The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) took action against shops selling eggs on Masjid Road, Kwari Road, Toghi Road and Alamdar Road in the city.

Food Authority officials sealed off seven shops and arrested two people on suspicion of selling artificial eggs.

Authorities later sent samples of the eggs to the relevant laboratory for chemical testing.

People involved in the egg business in the city say they have not yet seen artificial eggs in their business, while citizens say action should be taken against those selling artificial eggs.
