Pulwama: A Kashmiri freedom fighter martyred
Baaghi TV reports that a clash broke out between security forces and freedom fighters.
A search operation in the Awantipora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir in occupied Kashmir. A young Kashmiri freedom fighter was martyred.

Kashmir Zone Police said that security forces cordoned off the entire area after receiving reports of presence of militants in Mej area of Pampore late at night and launched a search operation. Authorities have reportedly suspended internet services in Awantipora, Tral and Pampore areas. According to sources, two to three freedom fighters are hiding in the area and all roads in the area have been sealed off.
According to South Asian Wire, security forces also arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen operative from Redwani Kulgam in Anantnag on Wednesday evening. In Occupied Kashmir, three young Kashmiri freedom fighters were martyred in a clash between security forces and militants during an operation in Shopian on June 16.
According to the South Asian Wire, 377 people have been arrested in 200 different incidents in Pulwama district since 2000. In 1,008 incidents, 917 militants, 440 civilians and 58 unidentified persons were martyred. 315 security forces personnel were also killed in the district during the same period.
