According to Baaghi TV, a case was heard in the Lahore High Court against administration for not taking steps to prevent pollution in Lahore.

The Lahore High Court summoned the lawyers for discussion. The Water Commission submitted the updated report to the court. The lawyers’ commission told the court that affidavits have been sought from the sugar mills. Cases are being registered against sugar mills. Eighty-three per cent of the cases registered against 73 kilns for environmental pollution have shifted to zig-zag technology.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court heard a petition against a pile of rubbish and dirt in Lahore. According to the petitioner, Lahore has now entered the list of dirtiest cities. The government and the waste management company failed to make better arrangements. Justice Shahid Karim while giving remarks said that Punjab government has failed in good governance, the court issued connotations to the parties including Punjab government.
