Punjab government imposes lockdown in Lahore

Lahore, 15th June: With the exceedingly growing number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan, the Punjab Government has taken a serious step.

According to Baaghi TV’s report, the Punjab government has announced that it will lock down certain areas as mentioned below in Lahore due to COVID-19 after midnight tomorrow i.e June 16th/17th:

  4. Lahore Cantt
  5. Walled City
  6. Mazang
  7. Shad Bagh
  8. HarbansPura

COVID-19: Number of patients exceeds 139,000 in Pakistan

Citizens will not be permitted to leave the area for 2 weeks and are required to plan accordingly.

It is pertinent to note that Baaghi TV had already reported a possible ‘smart lockdown’ earlier despite claims from the government that it is not in favor of a lockdown.

According to the latest reports, the government stated that those who do not take precautions will be punished severely and no concessions will be made. This is the only solution is to keep the people away from the virus.
