Lahore: Government of Punjab issued a notification limiting the number of people in Friday congregations to five less than an hour before Friday prayers.
It states that between three to five people, including the imam and muezzin, are allowed to pray in the mosque. Following similar measures taken by Sindh and Balochistan, all others should offer prayers at home.

According to the statement, Punjab government has taken steps in light of the instructions of medical experts. It may be recalled that the Sindh government has also banned congregation meetings and prayer gatherings from March 27 to April 4 across the province.
