According to a Baaghi TV report, Punjab Healthcare Commission has imposed a restriction on plasma transfusions without permission.
Only a few hospitals have the permission to conduct plasma transfusions. However a few private and government hospitals have started doing it and have turned it into a racket. A mafia has started looting the public in this regard. Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority (PBTA) has issued a circular regarding this.
On the other hand the Corona Expert Advisory Group has clarified that plasma, dexamethasone and Actemra are not cures of corona but only help to slow down the deterioration of the patient’s condition. It also said that laymen do not understand the side-effects of drugs.
They said there is no shortage of dexamethasone injections. The government hospitals have 6 to 13 million injections of this cheap drug.
The Corona Expert Advisory Group has said that the media should not help skyrocketing of drug prices by showing news about them. Hydroxychloroquine does more harm than a doubtful benefit and the license for its sale has been retracted.
