Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Main Aslam Iqbal visited Tollinton market and other markets of provincial metropolis in Lahore and reviewed prices of chicken.
The Minister expressed his grave concerns over high prices of chicken instead of fixed price.
Talking to news men, he said that it was decided with Pakistan Poultry Association that during three days of Eid chicken would be sold on Rs.260 per kilogram and after Eid things to be decided.
He said that PPA had agreed that action would be taken against violators.
He regretted that PPA didn’t fulfill its promises and now there is no justification of talks with PPA.
He said action will be taken against those whoever involved in profiting and over pricing.
