Punjab government to initiate crackdown against illegal non-governmental organizational operating in the province.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Punjab government has decided to initiate a crackdown against non-governmental organization operating in the province after the approval by Chief Secretary. The Punjab government stated that organization involved in doubtful practices will be taken to task as the country is taking all out measures to rid the country of anti-state activities.

Last year the country sent expulsion letters to 27 NGOs, out of which 18 has appealed. Ministry of Interior has allowed 141 NGOs to continue their operation while directed 72 NGOs to complete their documentation.
